Karen is a Life Member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and a founding member of the Black and Hispanic Alumni Association at Hofstra University, where she earned her undergraduate degree.
Karen Is a marathoner, a triathlete, a foodie, and a frequent traveler.
She even once owned her own travel agency.
